DiabeGen I° step

Real Time PCR test for the evaluation for the predisposition to type I diabetes mellitus, by the amplification of the specific class II HLA alleles. The test consists in 7 Real time PCR mixes and is performed on DNA extracted from peripheral blood. DiabeGen I ° Step detects the alleles associated to type I diabetes mellitus, i.e. DRB1*04, DRB1*03, DQB1*03: 02, DQB1*02, as well as the protective allele DQB1*06: 02. Furthermore, the Kit evaluates the copy number of the DRB1*04 allele.
The results are analyzed with specific interpretative forms or can be entered in the DiabeGen software. The system detects both the predisposition and the protection against the pathology.
